Seed Guardian Stories

Hey everyone, does anyone have any great Seed Guardian or Seed History stories to share?

Maybe a seed that has been handed down through the generations, perhaps originating overseas and brought to Australia by migrants trying to preserve culture and history? Or a particularly interesting backyard bred variety that has been cherished and shared with a neighbourhood? I'm interested in the people stories that go with the seeds and would love to collect and share more. Here's a story of a butter bean seed grown and saved continuously in Canberra since 1974. It's a beauty and grows gangbusters in the Canberra climate and soils and is now being stewarded by Canberra Seed Savers as well as the original grower, Richard and other members of the community:
