Flyers

Our group has developed a few different flyers over the years to hand out at events or to people making enquiries at our market stall. Please feel free to modify and use this if they are useful to you or your seed saving group.
If you have some to share we'd love to get some new ideas. Obviously some of these are a bit old (so those phone numbers are out of date! Don't bother ringing them, they don't work any more :) ).

Re: Flyers

Our group ran a program where volunteers started tomato seedlings and we gave them away in pairs to people who were prepared to try their hand at seed saving. The deal was that they could eat from one plant but save the seed from all the main crop of the second plant.
We provided this basic information with the plants - filled in with the variety name of what they had taken and what the mature fruit would look like.

The project was both spectacularly unsuccessful, as only 2 out of about 25 people (and more than 100 seedlings) returned any seed at all, and really worthwhile as one of those two people returned so much seed they out-performed all our regular seed savers added together. The concept needs a bit more work to be generally successful. But hopefully more of those involved actually did save some seed, but they kept it for themselves and their friends rather than bringing it back.
Has your group tried any particular activities to increase seed production?
