Have you ever considered the different roles of seed savers, commercial seed growers, and seed retailers? Each of these roles are interconnected, and for some are overlapping.
Who educates and mentors new growers? Who drives making more varieties widely available? How do these roles each contribute to the sustainability of Australia’s seed system?
We’ll be talking about the challenges that seed retailers face in the Australian market, different approaches that companies take, and how international standards play into what they focus on.
We hope that this session will be a good way to develop connections and understanding between seed savers, commercial seed growers and retailers.
