Cucurbita maxima ‘Beaudesert Blue’ is a rare Queensland heirloom pumpkin bred around 1910. It predates but is similar in appearance to a ‘Qld Blue’. The fruit weighs approx. 4kg and is ribbed with smooth grey-blue skin. The thick yellow flesh is firm, moist and delicious. It keeps well for a long time. The vines are large and productive. Harvest is in 95 – 105 days.
