This bush bean produces dual purpose beans that can be used dried or fresh. If using fresh then picking when young will produce more tender beans on the plate.

Red Silk

A dual purpose semi-climbing bean. Can be grown as a bush bean but often sends out longer tendrils. Can be used as a fresh green bean or as a dried bean.

Cupidon

A bush bean producing slender round green pods. When picked very young they are used raw in salads. Otherwise they are an excellent tasting green bean.

Borlotti (Bush)

This borlotti bean grows in bush form and produces distinctive red mottled/striped beans on a white background. The red colour fades during cooking. Used as a dried bean.

A climbing bean with large pink steaked pods. Can be eaten as a fresh pod or wait until the seed has matured and use as a dried bean.

Gilbert’s Gold

This climbing bean has large, tender flat yellow beans. It is also known as Heavenly Wonder and Minnio’s bean. Some seeds have small white mottled sections. Solid purple seeds are also common.

Cousin Jack’s Zebra

This Zebra bean is very slightly different to some other zebras, such as Molly’s Zebra. Pod shape is slightly different but otherwise is very similar to others.
